Count)- Fair. From all we can learn the Franklin County Agricultural Society are making extensive and permanent arrangements for our next Fall Fair. The list of premiums are about the same as last year. The committee appointed for that purpose, have rented an ample and convenient lot of Mr. Butler, including Mr. Eutler"s celebrated cool spring, equal to any in the county for that purpose. Those familiar with our town, know where it is from the fact that it is located at this spring. But for the imformation of others we would say that it is just north of the corporati:m of Brookville at the foot of the hill. There is to be about 5 acres enclosed permanently, as a lease has been taken for five years. The ground tips a little to the south, but not enough.to do any injury. The spring

Terrific Railroad Murder. It must have been remarked by every reader of news, that recently railroad accidents have been fearfully on the increase both in number and extent. We

have heard of awful accidents in Eng

land, but hero they have been until re

cently confined to the loss of one or

two lives at a time. On Friday last the 6th inst., the draw bridge over the Norfolk River, on the Railroad between New York and New Haven was raised to let a vessel through. The New York train, with a large num

ber of passengers approached, and al

though all the signals were given, yet the engineer disregarded them, and run

the train into the River, at a speed of fifteen miles per hour. A large number o
