AMERICA??. KUUOKVILLK, INDIANA. FRIDAY. OCT. 12, IS49, 1"aiylsrVi Acttiiiitttnitinn. Ever sine ( Jeu. Taylor entered upon the duties of hi office, the Union, ami all of its echoes, o the farthest verge of the I'uion, has treated bun with an illiberal, unceasing, hitter, and malignant opposition. Every act is ridbnled, misrepresented and perverted. They rob him of every talent, sense, honesty, or propriety. Never was an administration conducted on more enlightened and liberal principles, and nonr ever as much misrepresented. It will not therefore co for those who were instrumental in Iringing him into power to stand idly hy, leaving him to the tender m rries of his enemies The wisdom of his administration, or the open honesty of the man, w ill not shield him from the vilest abuse of those out of power. It theretore becomes his real friends to come to his defence i it earnest. Right and justice will never hold their supremacy in Government, when left hy their friends to he sustained by an enlightened community. "The price of liberty is eternal vigilance." We have placed Gen. Taylor

t the head of our Government. The wisdom
