At noon the Hungarians who had crossed the frontier, made an attack upon the Imperial troops, assisted hv a sortie of Viennese, but they were completely defeated. The Viennese having recommenced t,he combat, the city was bombarded once more. On the 31st, it is stated that the Hungarians, 1500 strong, attacked the left wing or Windichgratz's and the right wing of JellachIch's armies. Menusensea made a sallie upon the gate iu the vicinity of the Red Tow er. The Hungarians were completely routed, and driven into the Danube. Wiudichgraw, on the 30th, eent the following telegraphic dispatch to Baron Wersumberg: "The Ministerial President of Vienna unconditionally submits this day. My soldiers enter.Vienna to-day." The greater part of the Hungrian troops went over to the Austrian army, among others the
