Several eloquent speeches were made on :he occasion, which called forth the most rnthu-i.istic applause. The "Nashville Whig" of the ?6th February devotes nearly two and a half columns to the question, aud enumerates at some length the course which the whigs of Tennessee, had for some time pursued in regard to Gen.
