But it was not so. The brethren seemed to bear in remembrance "that lie who ts slow to anger, is better than the nighty and he that ruleih h's spirit than lie that taketh a city." More unanimity cf opinion upon so many questions as were necessarily considered, could not prevail tn any body. Much wis done for the con tinued prosperity, permanency, usefulness and progress of our Order. And great as has been our progress heretofore; having in the pan quarter more than doubled the number of Divisions in the State, we ssnguinely anticipate from this meeting a still greater increase in the present quarter. The survivors remanied on the wreck for 10 days, and all the provisions they had was about half a deck bucket of bread, which had been soaked 43 ours in salt water. They were rescued by the Minerva, five in number, two boys having died the day before.
