BROOKVILLE, Oet. 31, 1845. The wheat tpeeulation appear to be nearly over. From very slight nd unsatisfactory accoonts of the English wheat harveat flour advanced throughout the United State about 1 00 per barrel, and wheat from 15 to eenti per bushel. We hare heard or various (peculations in eonsetjuenee. Speculator hare travelcd in advance or the news and porehared large uantitieaat the old price. Later newa, however, from England, bring better account or the Barrett, and has thrown a damper over the wheat mania. Flour declined about S7e in New York, and oboot the ame at Cincinnati. Flour did get np at high at 4 JT ia Ciacinnrti, bat hat come down to 93 75a4 00. Wheat at CineinnaU UTrom 65 to 70c, bat had been a high a7Sc. These accounts had the efieet of inducing holder in our market to insist on till higher prieet than before prevailed, in consequence of which the transactions of M vnday amount ed to only about 1,500 bales, very few buyers having come forward. Yesterday buyers again manifested tome disposition to hold off when the market first opened, but finding that holders would not relax in their demands, they finally commenced operating with considerable briskness, the talet at theelote of bull ness hour having amounted to fully 6,300 bales. These operations haveettablithed an advance in prieet of an eighth to a quarter or a cent. Spoia, Louisiana. Since our review ot hut Satur day morning, there hat been tome improvement in the demand for Sugar on the levee, several lots have boen taken for the Mobile and St. Louis markets. We have no new feature to notice in the Tobaeeo market, since Saturday last, except perhaps to remark that there appears to be a little more enqui ty, though we have only heard of sale t during the past week to the extent or 75 hhds. at about the previous ran gefof prices, which we continue to quote as follows tty for inferior 2a3(; common t3J; fair 3a4; fine 4 af J: choice 516; regar leaf none. The current re ceipts are unimportant. Ftotra. Since our last the advice from Europe and the North have brought forward a more active de mand, and tome 7,000 to 8,000 barrels have changed hands within the past few days, principally on Mon day, and at gradually improving rates, leaving, off at an advance of iOaJOc per bbl. upon the price of last week. The quotations, therefore, at the close of the market yesterday, were for Olio and the common brands of Illinois and Missouri 1 5 75a3 80, choice ba ken' brands, 144 15, and 15 37a4 50 for'nne or two choice marks of the St. Louis city mills. These tales. so far as we can learn, are all to go out of the market. Poa-The Pork market continues heavy, with eostidarable anxiety on the part of holders to close off their stocks, and prieet have still further given w ay since our last. We now tjnote for mess $1315 15, noting a sale of 100 bbl. at the former price. M. O. 9.14a 14 15, prime lt liall 50. Bacos The demand still continue of a very limited character, but there it no change in price ttnee our last report, and we continue to quote fir uneanvasted hams 8a9e, canvassed do. and extra cured 8atl, ides 818 j; shoulders 7a7)e per lb. Lamb. There appears to be very little demand at the moment, and, apart from the small parcels taken for home consumption, we have heard of only one tale a lot of 400 keg t aken for Havana, at 8le per lb. We quote for inferior and ordinary 7a, prime 88e per lb, though only ttrictly choice will now command the latter rate. Whiskey. The inquiry seems to have .lightly im proved within the last day or tw obut ttill we could not learn of many sales of much importance, and the price remain as before quoted, tay 10al0c pegallon for rectified, the latter being the general asking rate for lots of good proof. A fnart panic seized orae of the specula tors this morning after the foreign newt had been digested, and the market opening at 15 8 la J 7, fell ra pidly, to 5 ft5 50 nnder the talet of those who had bought last week on speculation. Indeed nearly all the large trrnsactiont since the market wa. at 15 have been speculative, and the rise hat been produced fcy these operation. At S 50 a shipper came in to-day and took 8,000 bbl Genesee for Liverpool. Sale of 1,008 bhlt were alto made, on long teller' option, at a still lower priee. GaaiK. On Satnrday, ft rale r 1,000 bnshelt of Wheat, t prime tample, was made at ltoe. Ta-day, we have heard of nothing done, but the market hat declined Commensurate w ith the priee of Flonr. Corn is scarce and much wanted, and the price has gone still higher.
