COUNTY 31 EE1TXG. A nieeiiu of ihe Whigs of Franklin County will be held at Brookville on Saturday May lOih, for the purpose of appointing delegates to a district convention, to nominate a Candidate for Congress A seneral attendance from all rarts of the Countv is desired. The whigs of Franklin county do riot wish tol.e'lroiiblesome or captious in detennimns the lime and place for holdiug
the District i.ontriiwn, "....,, ... meet their brethren at almost any lime and place for the purpose of selecting a candidate lor Congress in this District; yet inasmuch as very many or ihe best farmt an.l hn$iiiess men in the county have business in the Probate Court, and owing to the fart that ihe Probate Court will be in session in most, if not 'all the counties i-i the District during the second week in May, ii is thought that the 14th day cf May would be aa inauspicious day to. hold the. District Convention. And it is supposed that about the 10th day or June would he a proper day for that purpose, and wwildS accommodate the people of the District as well If not better tlian any other period cf time, and we have no objection to Iiwrenceburgh as the place of holding the Convention. By order of the Executive Committee April 3J;h, 1S43. 3" THOSE WHO COUNTERFEIT a gooJ medicine for the purpose of adding a few dollars to their pockets, are far worse than the manufacturers of spurious coin. For while the latter only rob us of our property, the former take property and health avid life away. Dr. Wis tar's BALSAM OF WILD CHERRY is admitted, by thousands of disinterested witnesses, to have effected the most extraordinary cures in cases of a pulmonary and asthmatic character, ever before recorded in the history of medicine. The yvtng. the beautiful, the good, all speak forth it? praise. It is now the favorite meoic! e in the most intelligent families of our country. Such a high stand in public estimation has been acheived by its own merits alone. And so long as a discerning public are careful to pel Wistar's BALSAM OF WILD CHERRY, ar.d refuse with scorn counterfeits, and every other article proffered to ihem as a substitute, so long will cvres rosiTivE cvres cheer the fireside of many a despairing family.
