40. The assignee shall keep an accurate account of all the articles of the bankrupt's property that have come into his possession, how

debts that have been proved, of the money

paid out; with regular vouchers for all payments; of all distributions that have been made

to creditors, and of the time that has been employed in the business; and where he has atten

ded to more than one case in the same day, the

portion of time he has devoted to each case;

and also of the expenses he has incurred in at

tending to the business, which account shall be, at all times, open to the inspection of any creditor. 41. The assignee, within four months from the lime of his appointment, and every six months thereafter, shall report to the court, a full account of his proceedings, exhibiting the amount of money he has received and paid out, the amount of debts that have been proved; the suits that may be pending; the supposed amount of any liabilities to which he is exposed on account of any judgment recovered, or suit pending, relative to the bankrupt's property; and the amount which may be distributed among the creditors, and the per cent to be paid

to each. 42. If the report of the assignee shall showthat there are any moneys for a dividend, an order for distribution will be made, on a day to be fixed by the court; at which time the assignee shall pay to each creditor the amount to which he is entitled; first giving ten days no
