Another recent test of the unrivaled virtue of

Sec. 4. In ail cases where any roaa or roads, in any road district, shall become im

passable by the fa'ling oftimber, the washing away or distraction of bridges, or from any

other cause whatever, it shall be the duty of

the supervisor of the district, on being informed thereof, forthwith to order out a sufficient number of the bands in his district, to place such road or roads in passable repair; and if

there should be no road labor due Irom the persons called out, it shall be fthe duty of the

supervisor to give each person a certificate of
