rjland has gone against us. Wc can sec no ground for any such course, ire are hilljf cn.vinced that if every whig member ofConjrress
is in his seat at ihe opening of Congres,a whig Speaker will certainly be chosen. It will he remembered that the last House of Representatives passed a resolution that in future organization of that body, no member should take his eat. until he produced the regular certificate of his election. We will now state tin .position of the parties in the members elected whose seats are undisputed; and who, having the certificates of election, will he allowed to take their scats nd vote for Speaker.
