PENSIONS. We publish to-day, at the request cf the Pension Agent, tome information valuable to those revolutionary veterans who are entitled to pensions for their pnjt services. As there seem to have been no provision made by law
tor enlightening this old and renerable class wf citizens as to the steps necessary for them
to pursue in obtaining their small pittances,
it devolves upon the press generally, with its ustomarv liberality, to miblish gratuitously
whatever relates to this meritorious class, cal
culated to contribute comfort and peace in

March IS'29, requiring the arrears of pensions due to deceased pensioners to br paid to their w idows and children, the following rules have been adopted, viz:
In cases of the death of nny pensioners the arrears of pension due to him at ihe time of his death must be paid.
I. To the widow of the deceased pensioner, or to her attorney, proving herself to be such before a court of Record II. If there be no widow, then to the child or children of the deceased pensioner, or to hie, her, or their guardian, or his attorney, if

Information has been leccived by expreM,
from Judge Ki.vg, who presides in tie Circuit
where the dilhrultr exists, lhat an insurrec
tion is now actually en fret in lhe counties cf
Caldwell and Daviess. The same information has just been received from Gen. Atchi
son, who is now at Richmond, with 250 men,
and intends proceeding immediately lo flic
scene of difficulty. Gen. A. has ordered cct four hundred more men from his Division. In
consequence of this information, the Governor has, by express ordcied Gen'ls. Grant, of Iioone, to have Ihree hundred men, Clark, of Howard, lo have five hundred men, Lucas, of
j Jackson, four hundred men, and Crowtiieh.
