PENSIONS. We publish to-day, at the request cf the Pension Agent, tome information valuable to those revolutionary veterans who are entitled to pensions for their pnjt services. As there seem to have been no provision made by law

tor enlightening this old and renerable class wf citizens as to the steps necessary for them

to pursue in obtaining their small pittances,

it devolves upon the press generally, with its ustomarv liberality, to miblish gratuitously

whatever relates to this meritorious class, cal

culated to contribute comfort and peace in

their declining yv-irs. Every newspaper in

In order to guard more i IT cttiaMy against a repetition of frauds, ns heretofore practiced by the production of forged papers, the first three following additional rules will be observed by the accounting officers of the Treasury. 1. In every Case. yvhere the pensioner employs an attorney to receive his pi ision, the

execution of the power must be in the presence

of at least cue witness, other than the magis

supported by a voucher thus executed

"Z. In all case where the signature of the

pensioner or his attorney is required, such

pensioner or attorney will write his name at
