To our recollection, there have but live ilea ths occurred in our town for the last D months, which is not an average number of dea'hs. taking the country together. We I'.npp our friends, w ho are determined to slander oar town and. our inhabitant, will rcs'.ruin ihtir propensity as much as possible, an J Id us live, out, ;l least, half our days. Vi!l( the editors of the Repository, Cincinnati iVIii;:, llushville Herald, and others wholiuve published the false statements lluded to, copv the foregoing and following: t". F. Clvrksox, E-q: Sii having seen a statement in the Cincinnati Whig and the Greensburgh Repository, that the milk sickness has for some time past been raging in the town of Brookili,aml that sevorai deaths had taken place inconsequence. It is ny duty, as a friend tr truth, ami as a practicing -physician in this plire to correc t these statements. There lias not been a single case of "milk sickness" in Brookviile this season, nor has there been a death caused by it. There have been a few cases of it east of '.his: place, but no deaths have been occasioned by it. This disease is as easy managed, as the common fivers which are prevalent. .
