Little Rock, Aug. 2C The Indian fight afabrication.XVc learn, by a gentleman who left Fort Gibson, within the last ten or twelv e days, that the account published in our last paper, of a fight betwen the Dragoons and Pawnee Indians, the killing of SOand the capture of 150 prisoners of the latter turns out to be an entire fabrication. There is not the slightest grounds for the report. Farmers & Mechanics Dank of Indiana. There is a report going the rounds of the papers that the charter for this institution expired on the 6lh of Sept. having been in existence twenty years. This report does not very far from the truth the charter will expire the 1st of January next. It has however, two years from that period in which to wind up its coucerns, which can be done with all the ease imaginable, having but about $20,000 of paper afloat, with a ranihil nf five times that amount pledged for its redemption ! no auivciicy i? piacea a long distance beyond where a doubt can hang, and its affairs will be closed without a groan on the part of the bank.
