Mr. Poindexter, from the Commitle on Public Lands, reported n bill granting an entire township of land, to be located in the State of Illinois, or Terfitorv of Michigan, to be divided among the 235 Polish exiles, sent to the United States by the Emperor of Austria. The report and bill were read and, together with the petition, ordered to be printed, and made, the special order of the day for Thursday the Sth of May. Mr. Chambers submitted a resolution directing the Secretary of the Treasury to infonTi the Senate whether any other Treasury drafts, called ntthe Department "transfer drafts," on the United States Bank, have been drawn s:nce his report of the 11th December. 1833, nnd the purposes to which the amount of such drafts, if any, have been applied.
