OBITUARY. Lora, daughter, of Robert aud Martha Smith, died at the home of her parents, in El wood, Tuesday evening, Aug. 9, at 10 o’clock, after a two weeks’ illness. Lora was a patient, good-hearted girl, and always had a friendly word and smile for every one, especially small children, and was loved by all who knew her. During her short life in Elwood she gained many friends. She was born, in Shelby county, Ind., Aug. 12, 1870, and was therefore aged 21 years, 9 months and 9 days. She was married to Dudley Lautz June 9,1888. She was a member of the. Baptist church and always tried, to live a Christian life. Her death was like her life —peaceful and calm. She said to her mother that she did not fear to die; that she loved every one. The remains were shipped to the home of her childhood and on Friday interred in the cemetery at Pleasant Grove, Rev. W.
