The Dedication.
The beautiful church edifice, corner ’ of Indiana and Poplar Streets, erected by the Christian congregation, will j be dedicated Sunday next, Rev. F. M. Rains of Cincinnati, Ohio, delivering the sermon at 10:30. The opening exercises will be an organ voluntary by Mrs. Carrie Hays followed by appropriate scripture reading and prayer. A choir of twenty voices will furnish suitable music and Mrs. Pauline Blake Newhouse ■will sing a solo. All the services will be in perfect keeping with the occasion. At 3:30 in the afternoon a congratulatory meeting will be held and brief addresses by the city pastors and visiting ministers will be delivered, A half hour song service will precede the evening sermon at 7:30. A most cordial invitation is extended to every body to attend these exercises. Mr. Rains will

On Tuesday evening there was a crowd of several hundred people gathered at the Vandalia Depot, to see the Harter Medicine Co’s special train pass through this city. The train consisted of twenty nicely decorated cars, laden with the persons and chattels of the Company, which were being removed from St. Louis to Dayton, Ohio. Arrested for Larceny. On Wednesday Mrs. Mary Adams tiled an affidavit before Major Birch, charging C. G. West with the larceny ot a door and folding bed weight. Marshal Starr shortly afterwards arrested West and placed him in jail to await trial.

—The Silver Leaf Rand was invited to a colored blow out, at Lafayette, on Wednesday night, and the boys stayed up all day, and hired a couple of runners to round up the members, and have them corelied, so they could be on time at the train, and as a result the whole galaxy of stars was there except William Bridges, who was on the in-

The services were conducted by Dr. Hill, and Wilbur Starr sang a beautiful solo very sweetly. The pall bearers were boys who had been friends anil associates of Virgil, ami bad esteemed him highly—Percy Swahien, Th id Alllee, Albert Alice, Altert Black, Ernest Browning and Charlie Arnold. of the family “gone before.” McCray Family Reunion.
The annual reunion of the McCray family was held at Armstrong Park. Indianapolis, on Thursday. There were 16o members of the family there, from Putnam, Shelby, Bonne Marion Hnnenck end \Tontgnme.,. counties. The Sentinel says: Several drove in from various points in this county and all met at the Union station, whence they conveyed to the park in a special train of cars provided by Judge Frank McCray. Upon arrival at Armstrong Park the company, representing four generations of the family, were gathered together, and George McCray, gave a hiatory of the family in chronological order from the time of William McCray, who came from Scotland in 1735, to the present time. It was shown that a number of this stnrdv Scotch famllv served through the war of the revolutionhone in the Mexican war. but a large number through the war of the rebellion. During the afternoon a meeting was held, and it was determined to perfect a permanent family organization, with Oliver Royster, of Marion county, president, and Judge Frank McCray, general secretary, and secretaries were selected for each of the counties represented.
