Arthur Chapped and wife, of New Castle, were called here Tuesday evening to be at the bedside of the formers mother, Mrs. William Chapped, who was taken suddenly and seriously ill. She is much improved.

Bent Wilson moved Monday and Tuesday from his farm to Markleville to engage in the bakery business. We wish them success. David Col well will move on Mr. Wilson's place.

Two children of Jerry Alford and wife are on the sick list. Marvel Bradley, of Curry's Chapel, rs with Mrs. Ed Bradley this week helping to care for their little daughter, Berthilda, wrho has been very sick.

Clarence Wyant attended the White-Mitchell wedding last we^k. There will be preaching here Saturday night, the 20th, by the Friends preacher from Maple Grove.

Ott Wyant lost a valuable horse one day last week. Mrs. Mayme Oneal and Mrs. Effie Alford were shopping in Greenfield Tuesday.

J. Rader Boyd, who recently returned from Martinsville, is much improved and was able today to be at the bank.
