REPUBLICAN OR DEMOCRAT—WHICH?
OH FOR THE ELEPHANT NOW!!
REMEMBER— Either the Republican party or the Democratic party—either Hugh Miller or Ben Shively—will win in Indiana on November 3 next.
If you are tired of Democratic mismanagement of state affairs and are disgusted with the demoralized commercial conditlons due to a Democratic tariff law, vote the straight ticket of the Republican party— "THE PARTY OP PROSPERITY."

MINOR PARTIES HAVE NO CHANCE
Either the Republican party or the Democratic party will win at the polls in Indiana next month. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO QUESTION ABOUT THIS.
Either Hugh Miller, Republican, or Ben Shively, Democrat, will be elected United States senator. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO QUESTION ABOUT THIS.
Minor parties are in the field with tickets, but there is absolutely no chance for the election of any of them. Are you going to throw your vote away on one of these minor parties? Are you going to be an "air beater"?
Between now and election efforts galore will be made to becloud the issue. Designing politicians will try to pull the wool over the eyes of enough voters to allow the ticket chosen and backed by the Crawford Fairbanks-Tom Taggart brewery organization to slip in. Emissaries of this gang of political highbinders will go up and down the state during the present month, telling how strong some of the minor parties are; they will profess with a long face that they regret that there is a chance that some one of the minor parties may be successful in fact, they will do everything in their power by misrepresentation and. falsification to get you not to vote the Republican ticket.
When you hear this kind of talk, give the one who is playing the "chin music" the "merry ha ha" and tell him that you know that either the Republican or Democratic party will win in November and that you are with the Republican party.

THEY'RE "RETROGRESSIVES" NOW.
NEW YORK, Oct. 7.—As a result of the recent New York primaries in which the Progressives of Roosevelt's home state, after a most spirited contest over the gubernatorial nomination made such a miserable showing, casting less than 30,000 votes as against 390,021 cast for Roosevelt in this state in 1912, the Progressives are being referred to as "Retrogressives." The new name is spreading like wild fire over the Empire state. The suggestion has also been made that the emblem of the party be changed from a Bull Moose to a mos quito.

Alice Louisa Kennedy
Daughter of Guy and May Smith Kennedy, was born August 9, 1913, and died October 9, 1914, aged one year and two months.
For one of her age, she seemed a very patient little sufferer. Her disposition was sunny and being ready to make up with any one, she became a favorite with all who knew her. She was never of robust health and was thus an object of such solicitation to her parents.
Her last illness came up while on a visit with her mother with relatives in Gwynneville and Morristown. They were on their way home when her mother noticed her condition and at once sought the advice of a physician.
She was critically ill from the beginning. All that loving hands could do was done for her, but death conquered. She has gone to Him who said, "Suffer the little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me for of such is the kingdom of heaven."
Besides her parents she leaves one grandfather and two grandmothers and many other relatives and friends to mourn for her. But they mourn not as those who have no hope, for our Savior said: "I will not leave you comfortless, I will come to you." So in Him they find the Great Comforter who comforteth them in all their sorrows. They are comforted in Him. 14d-1-w (Advertisement.)
