Mrs. Amanda Cook wTas calling on Mrs. Kizia Burris, Thursday. Mrs. Nellie Goodpasture, teacher of the primary class at the Sunday school, entertained the little ones at her home Saturday afternoon. Refreshments were served and games in the attic enjoyed.

Norris, the 10 year old son of Curtis Collier, was painfully hurt by a horse Saturday. The horse stepped on his ankle, tearing the ligaments, but no bones were fractured. ..

William Wright, who lives near here, while cutting feed Monday evening, caught three of the fingers of his left hand in the cutting box, severing two at the first joint and injuring the other.

Brittenham attended the banquet Monday evening at Roberts' Park church, Indianapolis, given by the Marion County Sunday School Association, and also attended the evening session of the convention.

Everett, the 2 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ball, died Tuesday night at their' home at Arlington. Fuheral Thursday at 2 o'clock at Arlington. Morrison & McDaniel, undertakers.

The ownership in this paper changed, taking effect July 1, 1912, on all prior subscription accounts. All old accounts are due to Newton R. Spencer, and he wants them settled at once, so that the business between him and the new company which now owns the paper can be closed up in a final settlement. Alma May Taylor will give an entertainment at the high school building on Friday night. Miss Taylor comes highly recommended as a reader and impersonator.

Dr. Smith moved his office to the property vacated by James Bell, on Locust, street.
The Fleur De Lis Club met Tuesday afternoon with Mrs. John Lane. Floyd Starbuck and son, Gerald, of Anderson, were here Friday visiting his parents. Choral Ulery, who formerly lived with them here was bitten by a mad dog recently and is now at the hospital at Indianapolis, taking pasteur treatment.

The Literary Club of this place, composed of seventeen ladies, has arranged for a lecture course consisting of five entertainments, to be given at the high school building, one each month through the winter. The first number will be on October 22d, and is an impersonator, pianist and vocalist, the Margaret Smith Company.

Miss Mabel Gant, who teaches at this place, was called to her home at Greenfield last week on account of. the death of her grandfather, A. J. Banks.
David Sexton and wife called on Lee Rafferty and family, of Foun^ taintown last Friday. Mr. Rafferty is very low with typhoid fever.
Sam Olinger lost a nice spring colt last Tuesday morning. It had lockjaw and had to be killed.
The Ladies' Aid of the Christian church served dinner and ice cream at the sale of Mr. Zike, south of here last Monday. They report a grand success and the sale was largely attended
The horse show last Thursday was largely attended. A wagon load of men from Westland attended the Progressive meeting last Saturday night here.

Oliver Olinger and wife made a trip to Eden last Monday in their automobile.
The Ladies' Aid will meet with Mrs. Rock Wednesday afternoon. Quite a number from here attended the sale of Grant Morris ©ra Tuesday.
Some of the farmers have begun cribbing their corn. There will be a great deal to gather this year.

Mrs. Clarence Keller, who has been quite ill, is improving slowly. The N. H. T. D. Association's call meeting-held at the church Friday afternoon was well attended.

Mrs. W. A. Wiley is suffering as the result of a fall she received a couple of weeks ago.
