During the 3d and 4th these storms will pass eastwTardly over the country, preceded by excessive warmth. In eastern parts of the country, a hot wave and Fourth of July thunder storms should not surprise the people. Donald Lanlz, of Indianapolis, suffered a broken leg Sunday afternoon, when his motorcycle skidded, on the National Road, a mile and a half east of the city, throwing him to the ground with great force. He had been to Centerville visiting and was on his way home, when the accident occurred. He was brought to this city to the sanitarium of Dr. Bruner, where the broken bone was set. He was cared for until his father arrived from Indianapolis and took him home on the 5:11 car.

The young man blames the accident to the wet condition of the road. He said he had ridden a motorcycle for two years and this was his first accident. The tibia bone in the left leg was broken. His father is employed in the postoffice at Indianapolis.
