Horse Injured.

One of the valuable horses belonging to Silas Henby, of Walnut Ridge, was injured Wednesday by running into aboard in such a manner as to lay its head open to the skull. A veterinary from Charlottesville was called to dress the wound. He said her skull was slivered, but she may get all right.

Saves Two Lives.

"Neither my sister nor myself might be living today, if it had not been for Dr, King's New Discovery" writes A. D. McDonald of Fayetteville, N. C. R. F. D. No. 8, "for we both had frightful coughs that no other remedy could help. We were told my sister had consumption. She was very weak and had night sweats but your wonderful medicine completely cured us both. It's the best I ever used or heard of." Foley Kidney Pills

Are tonic in action, quick in results. A special medicine for all kidney and bladder disorders. John Adler, Greenfield, Ind., says, "My wife had been down with a severe case of kidney trouble for some time and nothing seemed to help or even give relief until she started taking Foley Kidney Pills. They absolutely cured her and in a very short time. She is pleased to be -able to recommend them to any one suffering from kidney or bladder trouble as a quick and permanent cure." M. 0. Quigley.

Solves A Deep Mystery.

"I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart," wrote C. B. Rader of Lewisburg, W. Va., "for the wonderful double benefit I got from Electric Bitters, in curing me of both a severe case of stomach trouble and of rheumatism, from which I had been an almost helpless sufferer for ten years. It suited my case as, though made just for me." For dyspepsia, indigestion, jaundice and to rid the system of kidney poisons that cause rheumatism, Electric Bitters has no iqual. Try them. Every bottle is guaranteed to satisfy. Only 50c at M. C. Quigley's.

Town Ladies Invited

There seems to be a mistaken idea among the city ladies, that they are not expected to take part in the baking contest by the ladies of the auxiliary to the Farmer's Institute which will be held Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The town ladies are invited to contribute to the premium list and take part in the contest.
