Julius Fralich is having a mild attack of measles. Ethel Garriott of Greenfield is visiting Mary Jackson.

Adolph Schresber was here Sunday. Mrs. R. B. Tuttle and son Carl and Mrs. Martin of Indianapolis spent Friday with Myrtle Schreiber.

Pansy Mitchell of Greenfield visited Hazel Mitchell Sunday. Opal Drake of Crawfordsville spent Sunday with Hazel Rupkey.

Clara and Svbella Hoffman of Dayton, Ohio, are visiting relatives here this week.

Docia and Ruby Hardy of Fountaintown were here Saturday evening. James Hawk who is attending school at Bloomington spent Easter with his parents.

L. O. Branson and wife of Indianapolis were with John O. Branson Sunday.

John Kirkhoff had an operation performed on one of his eyes a few weeks ago, removing a cataract. Mr. Kirkhoff has been afflicted almost two years and his many triends hope for his speedy recovery.

Mrs Pet Garner and Mrs Kirkhoff spent Sunday at Anderson the guests of Mrs Kirkhoff's son Harry. Little Misses Maxine and Mary returned with them for a visit,

David Pfeudlerand wife spent Easter with Joseph Fritts. Arthur Madison of Indianapolis visited Kurt Ehlert Sunday.

Mrs Gladys Johnson of Greencastle spent Monday with Bess .Power. Mrs Walter Elliott and son Ralph of Muncifi were with Myrtle Schreiber Monday.

George Richman on Monday next will assume the duty of superintend dent of the local schools in the absence of Prof. Andrews who left March 29th for Washington, D. C.

Elizabeth Jackson has the measles. Vania Gates of Greenfield is visiting her nephew Ralph Logan.

Fern Bussel of Morristown returned home Monday after spending Easter with Mary Jackson.

The Easter concert given by the Jung Verein at the G. E. Z. church was a decided success, reflecting much credit on the society as well as the talent of the local participants. Vocal numbers given by Miss Foella, Hellena Faut and Anna Herrlich should receive special mention, likewise instrumental rendition by Hazel Mitchell, Ruth Kirkhoff, Elza Faut, Mary Jackson and Arthur Waltz found them at their best. violin solo which was worthy of his ability. Fayne Elliott was truly entertaining in his reading of "Malinda" and the choruses given by the choir, showed splendid training in all. It was an entertainment of extraordinary merit.

MARKLEVILLE AND WARRINGTON. Easter has passed and no rain.

Meeting was held at Union church Sunday. The pastor, Rev. Fred Young surprised us by bringing with him his bride, who was formerly Miss Mae VanWye, of Elizabeth town.

The members of Collier church met Sunday morning and organized Sunday school. Officers are: Leo Noland, superintendent Albert Noland, assistant superintendent Leatha Kesling, secretary and treasurer Mae Titus, assistant secretary and treasurer. Everybody is cordially invited to attend our Sunday school beginning April 3rd at 9:30 a.m.

Harrison Cook and family were at Anderson Monday. Thomas Hamilton, of Wilkinson, formerly of this place, was the guest of his daughter, Mrs. Robert Reger Sunday.

Jesse Hoppes and wife were guests of William Noland and family Sunday.

John Morris and wife, of near Willow, were guests of the latter's parents.

John Noland, of near Mechanicsburg, was in our country lately. George McCallister is painting the Coilier church.

Farmers in this vicinity are through sowing oats. Harrison Cook has a new buggy.

The Center township common school commencement will be held at Maxwell Saturday, April 2. This is to be a Red Letter Day for Maxwell. There is to be a Literary program in the morning at 10 o'clock in the M. E. church, in which pupils from the different schools of the township are to take part. The commencement proper will occur at 2 p. m. in the M. E. church. Let every parent, whereever it is possible, come and bring the children.

The pie supper was well attended Saturday evening. Paul Plummer has left the grocery store and is now working at chain making in Ohio.

John Plummer is conducting the grocery business. Dan Sitton and wife are moving to a farm near Fortville.

David Henry is on the sick list and is now at the home of his sister, Mrs. Barnard, across from his home.

Nema Pratt received a post card shower Friday, March 25, for her birthday. It consisted of 77 cards.

Henry Shepler bought a Blick typewriter the past week for his daughter, Chloe.

Rev. Loveless preached Mr. Tuterow's funeral at Willow Sunday at 1 p.m.

Wilbur Kirkpatrick visited friends here over Sunday. Copline Webb is here visiting her grandparents. It is reported here that her father, Albert Webb, of Greenfield, is in the hospital, having undergone an operation.

"The Baccalaureate.

The baccalaureate services will be held this year as usual at the Bradley M. E. church on Sunday evening preceding the high school commencement. The address will be by the Rev. Mr. Rogers, pastor of the Christian church.
