THEY'RE NOW $1.65, etc. all over the house. The new people paid 100 cents.^on the dollar for an old stock. 663 for the stock and 33'c for the location and good will. The manager advised us that one week of business like the present and THE PUBLIC WILL HAVE PAID FOR THE GOOD WILL.
They assume that eighty-five per cent of their trade is transient—such customers as you, who they only see occasionally and who have no acquaintance with their stock. 90 per cent of OUR trade is with regular customers—people we see every few days.
Now we don't know what we might do in their situation—maybe we'd get as much as we could and get it quick as possible—but there's one thing sure under present conditions we can't—nor do we want to give you anything but a
SQUARE DEAL.
If you can find what you want and it fits—your home merchant—always sale or no sale will sell you regular merchandise much cheaper than you can buy in the city where it costs thirty-five to fifty per cent to do business, while it costs us ten to twenty per cent.. We would be mighty well satisfied with that difference as our profit.
Spend Your Money at Home.
You might get some of it back sometime.
