One would think to see the tablet the Rambler left me last week I certainly was doomed to old maidenhood if I ever expect to fill its pages with Cumberland news.. The cards announcing the wedding of H. C. Wiese and Miss Minnie Buchanan have been issued and ere this appears will have filled their mission. The cards are exceedingly tasty and reiiect credit on the printer who is of the REPUBLICAN. Hereafter remember that is the place to have your printing done On last Tuesday evening Liuda Wessling together with about thirty-five of her Palestine frieuds gave her sister Miss Katie a pleasant surprise She was sitting by the fire-side enjoying her knitting when she was suddenly a roused by laughter without. To those who have accepted of the hospitalities of Mr. Wcsslings family it need not be said that a most enjoyable time was had aud it is almost with envy I speak of so much gaiety when none of us were in it. But its all right Katie none of us blame you in the least Mr. Kern's brother of Kokoms has been visiting him for the past few days. .Mrs. Dr. Darrach visited the capital last Saturday Our creamery dating from the 15th of October will pay $1.00 per hundred pounds for milk. This certainly is better than twenty-five cents a pound for butter besides the women have so much more time to talk now for one cant talk and churn and it is not at all pleasant to talk and work butter, of course all the men care for is to see the women happy, so they will soon no doubt establish a cooperative dishwashing house ... .Mrs. John Buchanan attended a reception at her son Charges in the city last Friday... .Mrs. John Spilker spent Sunday with Mrs. Adrian Shepard Rev.
