Our farmers are all busy in their wheat fields... Mrs. George Williams, of Parsous, Kansas, is visiting relatives here. She was formerly a resident of lnd. .. Air. N. O. Crantill was at Knightstown on Friday of last week... Quite a boom in our li tie town, Mr. Henderson McKown our enterprising trustee, is building a new brick school-house here. We will say Mr McKown is quite a wise old gentleman and knows where our school houses are most needed.... Mr. N. Cranlill's new kitchen-is almost completed, we will also say that he also has a handsome young man who has come to call him Pa.
Mr. Huston Cranfiil of Pendleton, but formerly of North Carolina, will speud she summer learning the State and its occupants... .Messrs John and Frank Addison accompanied Mr. Ora Thomas home to spend Saturday and Sunday with friends and relatives at Anderson.. .... We have two handsome Belles in onr little village... .Miss Collins of this place visited her parents last Sunday.

24th, by a Sunday school picnic. The picnicers came on a special train of four well filled coaches from Indianapolis. The day was spent boat-riding, swinging aud various other exercises. The children aud old folks too ail had a grand, good time. It was the most orderly and nicest crowd of people that has beeu in our town for a long time. V\ hen they took leave they informed the reporter that they would visit us again next. year. The next day (Thursday), the colored Odd Fellows of Indianapolis, picnicked here and broke up in a bad row. Said row was caused by whisky and gambling. There was no whisky on the grounds but a whisky and beer wagon bad been located ou a spot of ground adjacent the picnic grounds, least ed of tee owner, Temple Barrett.
