Miss Bell Barnett, has returned from Muncie. where she was singing in a protracted meeting, which was held by Rev. J. L. Parsons. The Muncie papers report line audiences and great interest.

Tuesday Miss Henrietta Hawkins, was a guest of her friend Mrs. R. A. Black. This was their first meeting since Miss Hawkins had acted as brides-maid at her friends wedding. Miss Hawkins is one of the leading ladies in the new American comedy The Wife'1 which has been at the Grand Opera House at Indianapolis this week. Mrs. Black went to Indianapolis on the aiternoon train, for a short visit with Miss Hawkins.

Saturday night Miss Kizzie Staley and Miss Bertie Rhoads attended the oratorical contest at Carthage.

Mrs. Allie Gauze, has been very sick but is some better now.

Win. Johnson will move to Greenfield about the 1, of January. Matt Davis and wife, spent two days in Greenfield last week looking for a house to rent, but without success.

Charley and Lucien Gurley, of Valley Mills, came here Saturday and will spend several days with their grandmother, Mrs. Sarah Davis.

Pearl Patterson, spent the day Saturday at Cleveland. There will be a musical entertainment and snow house at the M. E. Church Christmas eve.—Admittance 0 cents children free.

Marion White and wife, of your city were guests of Austin Jackson and family Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Perigo, were at Knightstown Monday. Aldus Harold, came home Monday from Erlham College accompanied by Samuel Downing of Tokio Indian Territory, who also attends the College and will both be here until after the holidays.
