H. Albea is having his dwelling house' handsomely decorated, the work being done by Geo. Fowler Bob Wisel, from Indianapolis, was at this place Monday of this week Mr. A. J. Anderson, of the Democrat, was a caller at this place Tuesday A. H. Gladden, the saw-mill man from Indianapolis, was here Wednesday Master Pete McCune from your city is the guest of O. A. Collins and wife Mr. C. W. Thomas is buying up logs and shipping to Piqua, Ohio.

S. W. Wiley, of Blueriver township, whose saw-mill was burned along in June this year, has rebuilt his mill and is now prepared to do all kinds of sawing and furnish all necessary building material on short notice. He also manufacturers and keeps on hands, wire picket fence, and will allow no one to undersell him. 39tf

Church congregation have completed the organization of their society, called the "Willing Workers," and will give a "Geographical Supper" Easter eve On Sunday evening. March 7, Will E. Ashcraft and Emma L. McNamee were married by Rev. J. B. McClaiu. They will go to housekeeping in the Burke dwelling on Mill street.' The bride's father, Benj. McNamee, has furnished the house elegantly throughout, sparing no expense in this, his wedding present to the happy pair J. O. Branson has been appointed postmaster at this place, vice T. G. Short We can speak in hearty praise of the retiring officer, who has been uniformly courteous and obliging to all, and always a gentleman in the true sense ef the word. The wife of Benjamin Rice left his bed and board last Saturday, and a suit for divorce will be the probable sequence of the affair John Westlake has bought the Ilubbe property on Mill street, moved the house back, and will build anew front, new out-buildings, fences, etc., and will soon have one of the cosiest homes in town Conductor Billy Place and wife were guests of John Freeman and wife last Wednesday... .Miss Vania Gates is teaching a select school at Carrollton.
