GREENCASTLE. R. 3 Mrs. Jesse Jones, Mrs. Okie Jones and daughter, Louise were in Bainbrdlge Tuesday afternoon. Zella Bowen returned home after a visit here. Fern Hurst, Nettie Hillis, Okie Jones and daguhter, Louise called on Laura Hurst and Zella Bowen Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Glenn McAntyre and daughters are visiting her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Brow n. Mr. Dexter Oliver who is in the Putnam County Hospital is getting along as well as could be expected. Mr. Oliver was operated on for appen dicitis. Farmers are busy plowing corn, putting up hay and cutting wheat.

Farmers of this place will begin cutting their wheat the last of this week. Mrs. Hazel Woods visited witli her mother one day this week. Mrs. Merle Smith called on Mrs. Anna Phillips last Tuesday ^ Cecil Bartlett Is able to he out again after being ill several days.
