“Careers,” the First National picture which opened last night at the
Voncastle Theatre is a hit.
It would be hard to analyze the entertainment and put your finger on the person responsible for so fine picture. Probably its success was
the scuttle hole into the Penney store. No tracks were visible in the snow on the roof. However, tracks could have been hidden by the heavy
snow last night.
Mr. Chapman said this morning that only trusted employes carried outside keys to the store. It would have been impossible for the thief to have gone out the locked doors, also, it was said, practically eliminating the possibility that the thief had hidden in the store when it was closed Saturday night, afterwards working at his leisure. Store officials and police today were agreed that tli*' thief had been committed by one who was thorough ly familiar with the building and the places where the money box was
kept hidden.
| Mrs. Kenneth Sweet, cashier, checked up the loss early today after the damaged money box was found.
