Gardner of Russellville was in Greencastle Friday on business. Byron Irwin, of South Bend, is visiting his mother, Mrs. Edward Dalby, south Indiana street, and other relatives and friends. Mrs. Ernest Stoner and Miss Eliza beth Ward spent Friday in Indianapolis. Robert Reynolds, who is employed on road construction at Fillmore, suffered a badly infested foot Thursday as a result of stepping on a rusty nail. Karl Buntcn of Marion township, who has been quite ill, is now Improving rapidly. Ralph Randel has gone to Iletroit, Mic h., where he will visit Mr. and Mrs. Chester Elliott. Mrs. Randel has bee n there for the past ten days.
Aaron Cooper of Fillmore, who has been confined to his home by illness, is much improved, Mr. and Mrs. William Stiles R. R. | 5, were in Terre Haute Thursday 1 evening to visit the latter’s father,! Charles Thomas, who recently underwent an operation in a Terre Haute ; hospital. Mr. Thomas, who lives on a 1 farm in Clinton township, is getting along nicely.

Here arc Donald, Edgar and James, the chil Iren of Mrs. Cora Kelly of Atlanta, Ga., who were crossing a 25-foot trestle with their mother when a street car charged down upon them. The two elder children leaped to safety, but the youngest, James, was transfixed in his terror. The mother sacrificed her own life to hurl him to safety. A sister of Mrs. Kelly also saved herself by jumping.
