That flowered in lauds a pun ; And 1 gather their fragrance to nilliglc wnh these In the garden of my heart. I’ve an old-fashioned Illy, the deep yellow kind— That my dear father counted a

But it somehow fils into the scheme of my mind: Is an Integral part of my quest. For the old fashioned joys and the old fashioned scenes And the visions of long ago — When I was just a girl in my 'teens And lived in the flowers glow. Off to the South is the lilac hedge And here is the white snow ball. There the gorgeous Japouica show.* its edge Behind the syrlngu tall. And here in their modest little space The valley-lilies bloom And the scouted woodbine, you cun trace. To the door by Its wild perfume. There’s an old-fashioued dial not standing here — But it stood In its path apart And all of the paths of that garden
fair
Have their replica in my heart. So it stands today, in Its old-time place And turns the shadows away, Reflecting the sunshine on my face As it did on its own that day. So I wander around in my little back yard—• In my garden so bright and gay And there where the dial b standing guard— O'er the past and present, I .-ay. You and I w ill stunil in the sun.
