Work, or any form of activity in which energy is used by the brain or body, expends vital force. It cannot be regained except by the right kind of rest, either In sleep or a proper balancing exercise. During the inactivity and relaxa tion of sleep, the heart works with the least expenditure of force, the lungs continue their rhythmical ex halations and inhalations without effort and all other continuous func tions of the body are a- the min imum. No fatigue poison Is being created ami the process of reenpera tion and restoration goes on without hindrance. He sure that you g: t your full quota of sleep in every twenty-four hours.

chest and toes on a perpendicular line and take a deep inspiration, bringing tho chest high and turning the arms so the palms face forward. Then count live slowly and exhale. This exercise, like all others, should be done In a relaxed way. Another good practice is to take a deep breath slowly, while lying flat on your back, when you awaken in the morning. As you inhale, with arms straight at your sides, turn the palms upward, hold for a few seconds and exhale, turning the palms downward. While walking, make a practice of taking a deep breath as your left foot goes forward and exhale when the left foot goes forward for the next step. This exercise improves posture. Breathing properly Is a health essential, and one of the fundamental rules of good health.
