about 13 years ago, July 9th, 1910. Father’s hardest trial was then and for many months his grief was almost unbearable, but with the sustaining influence that comes to the children of God, he bore up and striv-
ed along in life.
He with his parents and two brothers came to Indiana in the year of 1866, all of whom have preceded him in death except one brother, W. S. Baldock, now residing in Indianapolis. He was united in marriage to Nancy J. Vaughn, December 21, 1868, to this union were born seven children, two having died in infancy. Those living are James L, Joseph A., Louella M. Mary F. and William P. These with 4 grandchildren and one great grandchild are left to honor and revere the memory of a father and grandfather dear. His afflictions were of long duration, but he bore them all with Christian fortitude. He was very industrious, honest and upright. In early life he professed a hope in Christ and united with the New Providence Baptist Church where he remained a devoted member until death. In all his trying experiences through life he never forgot his Master who blessed his young soul, quieted his throbbing brain and pulsing heart. He spent many hours
reading his testament.
Mingled with these events were many experiences of joy and pleasures, griefs, disappointments and heartaches, failures and success, but through all he was a good husband, a loving and tender father and a helpful neighbor. His hands found many tasks to perform and many a time | " j did he minister to the nesdy, the tir- ■ 1 ed, the disappointed and the erring. | Father has gone, the memory of j W one like his shall not be forgotten, j;.; his vision has expanded, his limita- ■ i tion has been obliterated and he dwells | v with him, whrm to know is Peace “

dwell ever more in peace.
After life’s fitful fever, they both sleep well beyond the Shadowy
River.
Burial was in the Stileaville

Guide Posts of Business
MAIDING along an unfamiliar road, you depend upon sign posts to guide you. Whether you’re hitting the thank-you-mams in a flivver or soaring along in a costly car, they do their work equally well. To-day, as you spend your money to fill your needs, advertisements are waiting to direct you. They are the guide posts of busi ness. They point the shoft, straight road to satisfaction in buying. They will serve you well whether you spend much or little. • Do you stop to read the advertisements? They are published to tell you exactly where to go for what you want. They lead you to values of which you would never know were they not there to guide you. And remember that advertising always points out goods of unquestioned value. When a store or manufacturing concern puts its name on goods and tells you about them, you may be sure that they are worth consideration. It does not pay to advertise unworthy merchandise. •
