Breaking the glass out of ihe rr ai dour of the William Kock r restaurant, at the northwest corner c ih«' square, Monday night, a robLer unlocked the door and stole all or the < a^h in the rash drawer, vliitli amounted to tibout $1H. The robbery occurred sometime S fier midnight. John Patterson, the night clerk in the restaurant, closed up at near midnight. The next norning when the restaurant was opened it was discovered that sotn? uni had broken *he glass out of the rear door, reached through and unlocked the door and then robbed the cash drawer of the money. The same night some one broke the glass out of the rear door of the Shipley Jewelry store hut evidently was seated away before he Uttered the store. The police have no clew to the identity of the robber

INTRODUCTORY REMARKS.

Isiah Craft, a farmer living at Reelsville, was taken suddenly ill Saturday night with Ptomaine poisoning on returning from Greencastle. While at Greencastle Craft and his brother Curt ate a lunch at a restaurant and one of the articles of which they ate was canned corn beef. On returning home Isiah was taken seriously ill but improved Sunday under the care of Dr. G. F l.ewis. Monday morning he felt so much better that he went to work on the farm hjjt soon collapsed from heart trouble. Dr l.ewis reported that he was better Tuesday.—Brazil News.

A House Party. Miss Maurine Ballard is enter taining at a house parly at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs Emer son E. Ballard of this city, the members of the Alpha Phi sorority of DePauw university who are in the city to attend the Craven-Cofting wedding last evening. An informal reception was given in honor of the girls Monday afternoon. On Tues day morning Miss Ballard entertained her guests at hrenr.fast. Surviving members of the One Hundred and T wimpy-third Regiment of Indiana volunteers met in annual reunion at the State Hons-’ yesterday and last evening.
