The contest will close at 0 o’clock on the evening of September 20 and all votes must be fn the office by

Coupons clipped from the paper must he voted within 7 days aftc the date of the Issue of the peper. A ballot box will be in the office sc that votes may bo cast at any time during the day. Volos mailed to the office will receive careful attention. Votes are not transferable and once voted for one candidate cannot be transferred to another. For payments made on subscriptions to the Star & Democrat or the Herald certificates for votes are issued to the contestants.
