Stomach trouble is but a symptom of, and not itself a true disease. We think of Dyspepsia, fiMrtburn, and Indigestion as real diseases, yet gbey are symptoms only of a pertain specific
sickness—nothing else.
it was this fact that llrst correctly led Dr. Shoop In the creation of that now very popular Stomach Remedy—Dr. Shoop's Restorative. Going direct to the stomach nerves, alone brought that sueces9 fc&d fotor to Dr. Shoop and his Restorative. Alaska has sent a non-parti-san delegate to Washing-ton. Many states would profit by following the example of the big Territory.
The Crow Indians, who are siear neighbors of the Utes, are more given to trading with the whites than the latter tribe. They also know better the folly of attempting to make a stand against the United States troops. If the Government succeedsin gettingtherenegadeUtes to return to their reservation it will undoubtedly be through the influence of the Crows.
The advertising merchant is tbe one who does the business in these days of push and enterprise, i. There are more newspaper readers today than before in the history of the world. The newspaper places your business under the, eyes of the buyer. He sees what he wants, and, knowing where to find it, looks up tbe wideawake merchant who asked him to come and see him. Successj in these days of sharp competi tion calls for eternal vigilance. You can't keep a hustler down.
The local paper should be found in every home. No children should g'row up ignorant who can be taught to appreciate the home paper. It is said to be the stepping stone of intelligence in all tbose matters not to be found in books. Crive your children a foreign paper that contains not a word about any person, place or thing, which they saw or perhaps ever heard of and how could you expect them to be interested. But let them have the home paper and read of people whom they meet and of places they are familiar with and soon an interest is awakened whifch increases with every arrival of the local paper. Thus a habit of reading is formed and those children will read the papers all their lives and become intelljgent men and women, a credit to their ancestors, strong in knowledge of the world as it is today.

The "bi# head" is a popular way of expressing a common and very frequent ailment. It arises from various sources, but the real foundation is a lackjof sense. A little money develops it in some people a few gootf clothes gives it to others: a little office, where a t'haDce given to exercise a little authority. is often the cause of it, while others get it by having a little better job than their associates. The truth is, no sensi ble person gets the "big bead." The one who becomes stuck up and stiff-necked from sources of every kind is weak in the intellectual caliber.—Exchange.
Next Tuesday is election day, and it is the duty of every good citizen to cast his vote. If good men stay away from the polls they have no right to complain of the result. It is not right to ah irk the responsibility of electing good officers on to somebody else. If you are a citizen do a citizen's share and take a citizen's part.

Commissioner of Immigration Sargeant thinks that all Chinese arriving in the United States with a view of remaining here should.be taxed $1,000 ahead. He believes that the time has come when all the Chinese in the UnitedStates shouldbe registered.
