Heart Strength
Heart Strength, or Heart Weakness, means
Nerve
Strength, or Nerve Weakness—nothing more. PosJttvely, not one weak heart in a hundred is, in itKit. actually diseased. It is almost always a liidden tiny little nerve that really is all at fault. Hifa obscure nerve—the Cardiac, or Heart Nerve —simply needs, and must have, more power, more liability, more controlling, more governing Strength. Without that the Heart must continue 10 fail, and the stomach and kidneys also have these same controlling nerves.
This clearly explains why, as a medicine. Dr. fhoop's Restorative has in the past done so much lor weak and ailing Hearts. Dr. Shoop fir^t sought the cause of all this painful, palpitating, suffocating heart distress. Dr. Shoop's Restorative—this popular prescription—is alone directed to these weak and wasting nerve centers. It builds tt Strengthens it offers real, genuine heart help.
If you would have strong Hearts, strong digestion, strengthen these nerves re-establish Hwm as needed, with

The two old parties have always published and distributed literature instructing their voters how to vote a straight ticket. This, however, was a part of the voting which did not need to be emphasized. The easiest way to vote is to vote a straight party ticket. It only requires the making of one cross within circle of the emblem under which the elector desires to vote. Anybody who has sense enough to make out his own ballot knows how to vote a straight ticket. It is when one attempts to vote a mixed ticket that perplexities arise, yet neither of the old parties send out instructions upon scratching or votiBg a mixed party ticket. That fact clearly demonstrates how intensely partisan the leaders of party organizations are. They do not send out literature within their part ies teaching how to vote the kind of a ticket that many men want to vote. On the contrary they magnify the danger of losing a vote byscratching a ticket. This is a bugaboo which is rap idly losing its force and influence in these times of indepen dence in politics. People who desire to vote for or against men of their own or other parties are no longer to be deterred by a mere scarecrow. They are informing themselves and are taking their political rights unabridgedinto the election booths and exercising them conscientiously. Many people have always voted that way, but as the evils of too strict party rule becomes more apparent the number increases. As the number is increased, party lines become more indistinct. Bosses, boodlers and floaters will no doubt look with regret upon such a movement, but honest citizen will hail it as a true reform which means more honest" elections and more faithful administration of office.

Young Gov. Proctor, of Yer mont, declared in his inaugural address, that the prosperity of the country is not due solely-to the policies of the Republican party. He must not have heard Speaker Cannon's speeches in Vermont. ...
A judgment for over $60,000 has been lodged against Tom Watson's Magazine. Evidently the business of "viewing with alarm" isn't a great success, especially when practiced to the exclusion of pretty much everything else.

What Mr. Hearst ought to do is to syndicate about fifteen or twenty offices and run for them ail in a bunch. It would save time and expense.
It half the things the N. Y. an id at a re a in a each other are true, none of them should be elected.
Hearst and Tammany have become bed-fellows, but considerable growling is coming from under the covers.'5 I
Mr. Carnegie is still accumuat in iv it re though he remains a poor speller from choice.
Being personally conducted to victory by Senator Beveridge, what has the Republican party to fear?
Hearst is beginning to suspect that most of the New York voters are from Missouri.
ANEW MAGAZINE-"WOMAN."
The Sixth of the Prank A, Munsey Company's PublicationsThe Frank A. Munsey Company has, with the addition of its newest magazine "Woman," increased the total number of its monthly publications to six. The oldest one of the six is The Argosy, which is now nearly twenty-four years old. The others are Munsey's, The AllStory, The Scrap Book and The Railroad Man's Magazine. The total circulation of these six magazines is over 2 200,000 copies and the amount of fiction issued by this one publishing house every thirty days, is said to weigh over five tons. "Woman" is a sti aight reading magazine, making up for its lack of illustrations by its wealth of stories, articles and departments. It was apparently built on the principle that a woman would rather read a good story .than glance over a few pages of more or less interesting illustrations. The principle is undoubtedly a sound one, when the stories are as much worth reading as those in the November "Woman."
The first number indicates that Mr. Munsey has again accomplished a seeming impossibility in finding a new field for a new magazine. This is however as it should be, for since Mr. Munsey introduced the first 10 cent magazine, the publishing world has gotten more or less into the habit of waiting to' see what he will do next. 'Woman" is his latest answer and a very good one.
