Shoop's Restorative Cures

The injury of William Hesten by coming- in contact with a live electric wire Tuesday emphasizes the great danger from electricity. Electricity, which is one of the greatest agencies for good, is also one of the most dangerous to propert}7 and life. People will have to learn to be more careful. Tnree men were killed in Rnsh county last week while attempting to cross barbed wire fence. A horse hitched to an iron pole on a street of Indianapolis a few days ago was knocked down by touching- the pole which was charged with electricity. A person scarcely knows when he is safe. The many telephone, telegraph, electric light and trolley wires which are now in use necessitates constant care on the companies using such wires and upon the people generally as they come in prjximity to them. The public should and no doubt will, as electric wires multiply, demand greater protection from them. Persons should be exceedingly careful about touching wires of any kind. It would be well for everybody to establish the rule of letting all poles on which wires are stretched strictly alone. The guy wires and cables which hold poles in position might become charged and therefore they should be avoided. The thing to do is to be wise as to danger from live wires and take no chances.

BLIND CONFIDENCE Is all right in some cases, but sick Tnen and women cannot afford to spend

inoney and time in experiments. Persons who think for themselves want to know in fighting diseases just how to go about it. In stomach, liver and kid— .ney complaints, any remedy to do good must act directly on these organs.

Sooner or later they become deranged ,.and clogged up, the system accumulates quantities of impurities and disease -germs, and to expel these from the system, a remedy must be used that reaches them.

Quaker Herb Extract acts directly on 'the stomach, liver and kidneys, and 'thoroughly clcanses the entire system

of

all foreign and surplus matter. Rheu•v^srtism, catarrh, indigestion, dyspepsia, biliousness, costiveness, bloating of the stomach, so-called blood and skin diseases, headaches, dizziness, etc., are entirely cured by the use of this remedy.

conditions changed so that the Republicans do not desire an active campaign. If the old rule is still as good, then one can guess that the indications are favorable to Democratic success this fall. There certainly is very little interest being taken in political matters.

So Mr. Corey may marry Mabelle Oilman after all. Well, well. About the only one of those Pittsburg millionaires to stand pat is Mr. Carnegie hitnhimself. His only dissipation is spelling- reform

Japan may figure that it is up and coming as one of the advanced nations, when it has a socialist movement in Takyo, strong enough to boycott the streetcars.

Let us be thankful anyway, for a kind and generous lot of campaign managers who have allowed us to forget that we are in the midst of a fall campaign.

From the way cataclysms are coming in bunches this year we should think the man who had charge of a bank might hesi tate about looting- it.

Stensland may have had some redeeming traits, but they did not run to redeeming bogus notes that he stuffed into his Chicago bank.

Mayor Dunne aims to make Chicago a model city. What a long jump that will be.
