Arrangements have been made to give music and drawing in the high school. This work is also elective. Two lessons in each subject will be given each week and one credit will be given for each subject if students do the required amount of work. Students may elect either one or both of these subjects.

SHOP WORK AND SEWING.'

The shop work for boys in grades seven and eight will be under the direction of Mr. Eadcliff, the principal of the departmental work, while the sewing will be directed by Miss Catherine Nelson, a graduate of the Richardson Garment Cutting school of Dayton, Ohio.

OUTSIDE STUDENTS.

All students living outside the corporate limits of the city of Grenefield will be admitted on one of the following conditions: 1. Student to present a certif* icate of transfer to superinten. dent. 2. Student to see the superintendent and make arrangements for paying tuition, which is $2 per month in high school and $1.50 per month in the grades.

The teachers are instructed to admit no students living outside the corporation until the above regulation is complied with, when the students will be given cards showing their right to enter classes. These cards will be signed by the superintendent.

DELINQUENT STUDENTS. Students who failed in promotion at the close of last year and who have been doing some school work during the summer or who desire to be advanced to the next grade and can show good cause why such promotion should be made, either by oral or written examination, or by whatever test the teacher desires to make, will report to the teacher having charge of the delinquent work, and upon her recommendation, approved by the principal and superintendent, such student will be advanced. Those students desiring promotion will report to teachers at the close of the session on \fonday morning, that their standing may be determined before buying supplies.

We invite the co-operation of every patron of the city schools this year. Help your child to get all out of school that is possible. Examine the monthly reports carefully and if grades are satisfactory, commend the pupil, if not, do not wrait until the year closes and then urge promotion. We will appreciate any suggestion that will lead to the betterment of our schools and will gladly welcome you at any time you can visit them. Come and see for yourself what is being accomplished and help us make this the best year in the history of our city schools.
