Birthday Celebration.
The cheerful home of D. J. Warrum was one of gayety and smiles at the nineteenth birthday of his son Jesse. The attendance and enthusiasm manifested was successful in carrying out the object of a genuine surprise.
Jesse being a great lover of music, that was one of the main features of the evening. He is organist of the Eden Sunday school, a member of the orchestra, one of the promising school teachers of Green township, also one of the Eden Band boys, which furnished the music for the occasion. Gathered around the torchlight, with the starry sky for their canopy, the melodious strains from the "Old Eden Band" filled each heart with mirth and enjoyment.
After social chats and lively games all were invited to the ing room where Mrs. Warrum, the estimable hostess, assisted by Mrs. Martha McClarnon and Mrs. Ballenger, served a two course supper which consisted of cake,.. ice cream and fruits. Those presen were:

RASH—Earl, three months old son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph E. Rash of Green township, Thursday night, September 6th, of cholera infantum. Funeral Saturday at 10 a. m., at Eden cemetery.
RINEHART—Norma Aleen, one year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rinehart, of Jasper, Ind., death occurred at the home of the child's grand father in Brandywine township, Tuesday morning, September 11th, resulting from dysentery. Funeral party went with remains to Jasper, Ind.. Wednesday, where the funeral and interment occurred Thursday.
Sunday School Class Reunion.
On the beautiful Lord's day of September 2, 1900, the Sunday school class No. 2, of Mrs. John Low met at her'Hiospitable home in Fountaintown to hoid their second annual reunion where all spent a very enjoyable day. After partaking of an excellent dinner the roll was called and thirteen to register at call. Then we went to our church home and opened services by singing "Stand up for Jesus," then responsive scripture reading and prayer by Bro. Guthrie, song by Hazel Cracraft and Bess Farley. Song and recitation by Mattie Duncan. Song by Hazel Cracraft and address by Sister Guthrie, which was very impressive and forcible. Election of officers for next year's reunion was as follows:
Edith Duncan, president "Hazel Cracraft, secretary Alma Hardy, treasurer. Then dismissal by teacher and all departed wishing their worthy teacher a long and prosperous life.
