AMUSEMENTS.
GRAND OPERA HOUSE.
As usual, the Grand will hav£ a very strong vaudeville bill with which to please the State Fair visitors. Heading the program will be two stars from the musical comedy stage—Mabel Barrison and Joseph E. Howard. Both of these popular entertainers have been appearing in comic operas and bright extravaganzas during the last live seasons, and their appearance as vaudeville headliners will be of unusual interest to amuse-ment-seekers. Miss Barrison is a beautiful and accomplished young woman, who has won he^ way to the hearts of all lovers of music and dance, and Joseph E. Howard is a versatile comedian, who spends half his time entertaining audiences and the rest in writing musical comedies ay
One of the best trained animal acts before the public is the exhibition given by Alfred Carlisle's dogs and ponies, a wonderful'company of four footed performers. Mr. Carlisle has reached the very limit of animal training, as he has taught his pets to.accomplish feats never before performed by other animals. ^The popular comedians, Smith and Campbell, will ap pear in their latest assortment of jokes and parodies, and another p.musing number of the program will be the farcical musical act of that clever team, Fred Eckhoff and Anna Gordon. Lynn, Fay and Young will appear in aspectacular singing and dancing production. Other entertainers of enviable reputation will be the pretty comedienne, Jane Courtrope, who, with her supporting players, will present the farce, ''Fisherman's Luck," Belle Gordon, "the American Girl," and Ivathrine Nugent, formerly of ''The County Chairman" Company. The bioscope will round out this splendid program with a new series of interesting and amus ing motion pictures.

Rheumatism is not incurable. Stubborn? Yes! But Dr. Shoop'e Iheumatic Remedy will if faithfully used drive it out of the system. It's the blood that's at ault. Poisonous crystals like sand get into the joints and muscles. Dr. Shoop's Rheumatic Remedy prevents this. It drivesj Rheumatism from the blood and then Rheumatism dies. We recommend it and sell it.
