AMUSEMENTS.
GRAND OPERA HOUSE.
The vaudeville season of 1906-07 will open at the Grand Opera House, Indianapolis, next week, starting with the Monday matinee, August 27th, and indications point to a note worthy season in this line of theatrical entertainment.. General Manager Anderson, of the Grand, is now one of the managers of the great New York Hippodrome, and is in a position to send to his theatres in Indianapolis and Cincinnati the very cream of European vaudevillp acts, and the Grand's connec tion with the great Keith and Proctor circuits in the East and the Orpheum Circuit in the West means that the Indianapolis amusement house will obtain the very best of bookings throughout the season. Resi dent Manager Shafer Ziegler says that theatre goers are sure to be treated to a long series of interesting and delightful entertainments.
The first show of the season will have as its headline attrac-. tion Harry Pates and his wonderful motor-car, the exhibition being of the dare-devil, hairraising description. Pates defies the laws of gravitation and his act, which has been creating sensation in the East during the summer, is said to be worth going miles to see. Another big act will be the amusing, performance of Henri French, a young impersonator, juggler and magician who has been mating a big success on the roof gardens in New York during the summer. Willie Eckstein, a boy pianist, whose playing is regarded as phenomenal, will make his first Indianapolis appearance, and others on the bill will be Aurie Dagwell, the beautiful balladist the Rialto Comedy Pour, a jolly quartet Lillian Apell, the pretty comedienne Joe Plynn, the tnonolo-

The readers of this paper will be pleased to learn that there is at least one dreaded desease that science has been able to cure in all its stages, and that is Catarrh. Hall's Catarrh Cure is the only .positive cure now known to the medical fraternity Catarrh being a constitutional desease, requires a con stitu tion al treatment. Hall's Catarrh Cure is taken internally, acting directly upon the blood and mucous surfaces ot the system, thereby destroying the foundation of the desease, and giving the patient strenth by building up the constitution and assisting nature in doing its work. The proprietors have so much faith in its curative powers that they offer One Hundred Dollars for any case that it fails to cure. Send for list of testimonials.
