Anniversary Celebrated.

In honor and commemoration of the 45th wedding-anniversary of Benjamin H* and Lydia Ann Bintord, July 25th was celebrated in a pleasant and unique manner.

During the forty-five years of wedded life not once has death entered this family circle, and although for six years the children have been scattered, some of them far from the dear parental roof, the family ties have remained dear and for months they have been planning for and looking forward to the home coming and reunion on this festal occasion and making glad the hearts of father and mother.

On July 25th all of the five children, one son-in-law and grandson were permitted to assemble at the dear old homestead. They were as follows: Amanda B. Cook, Charlottesville, Ind., R. Prank Cook, Charlottesville, Ind., Orlando V. Cook, Charlottesville, Ind.. Orlando Binford, Meridian, Miss., Vashti Binford Cox, Chicago, 111 Elrna Binford, Chicago, 111., Naomi Binford Kelsey, Berkeley, California.

It was much to be regretted that Dr. A. F. Cox, of Chicago, 111., and Prof. R. VV. Kelsey, of Berkeley, Cal., could not be present to complete the circle.

After joyful greetings all repaired to the dining room where a bountiful repast was awaiting them. The table and place cards were decorated with tiger lillies, which were theit wedding decorations.

In the afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Binford stood and repeated the marriage ceremony and the marriage certificate was read.

The children then joined in singing "Home Sweet Home". Mrs. Cox and Miss Binford followed with a beautiful duet, "lam longing for my dear old happy home." After some time spent in reminiscences of the wedding day forty-five years ago, the children invited the bride and groom into the parlor where a surprise was in store for them, in the form of a comfortable Morris chair for the groom and a beautiful silk dress for the bride, presents from their children. Then they were presented with a big fort bag, full to the overilo with presents and letters from their many relatives and friends these all contained love, best wishes, congratulations, comfort and cheer.

The day was a most enjoyable one to all present and every one felt well repaid for ail efforts put forth to be there and are looking forward to an other reunion, on a like occasion, in five years hence.

feong famous for strange]!and curious forms of animal life to be found in no other zoological gardens, Cole Brothers triple menageries this year contain an exhibit which is just now occupying ]|the attention of scientists and naturalists everywhere. It is the only black camel ever seen in captivity and the only wild one ever brought to this country. Prof. Knuede, who has given a great deal of study to the subject, claims he finds this remarkable beast a decendent of the few which survived the scorms, which about the year 1700 overwhelmed the village of the Gobi plciteau and killed all of the people*. At at*y rate it is a prize of which *any show might justly boast and yet it is but one of the maby invaluable displays made by Cole Brothers United Shows, which are to be seen in Greenfield Wednesday, August 8.
