Again we synipaihi/.e with bleeding hearts*, And mourn for one wi low, For Jesus called our loved one home
To dwell with him above, Loral Vi. We t, oldest daughter ot Jefferson and Susie A. West, was b^rn duly 8f.h, 1880 departed this life March 14th, 1890 being fil'teeu years, eight mouths and six days old.
On Sunday morning, a large concourse of relati-es aul Iriouds nss mbied at her home, while Rev. Well.*, pastor of the Friends church, with the Sunday school attending iu a body, heicl shoit per vices by nrayer and fingiug, after whi -h, her remains were ti^ken to Curry's Chapp?!, where scores of sorrowing friends had ithered to pay respect and administer tho hist sad rites to one they loved.
Services were conducted at the church by P. Martindale. The memory of all present were called tmck to the many public occasions, when by her sweet singing. recital of diflicult declamations by owe ^o young, Loral had carried off the timers, and won the universal praise of all that heard her.
Her body was laid to rest iu the church burying ground, among loved ones who td precee Jed her, near the sight of hexformer home.
She was known to all as a patient, trusting, loving child, who "meekly waited and muimured not," while the "Savior led her to the land of endless d*y.»
The gentle chi'd-like simplicity which was her only nature, commanded the re spect and sympathy of all who met her, and to know^her was to love her Her presence to those about her was as a bright sunbeam to a mirky sky, always lighting up, making bright those with whom she came in contact.
Though her health was never good, yet she was always cheerful and a constant source of enjoyment to the other members of the family, ever planning some pleasant surprise or preparing some delicacy for the absent ones to greet them on their return. When all were gathered in the family circle she never seemed to tire of rendering sweet music in vaiious ways io lighten the cares of life for those she loved.
She was a member of the Temperance League of Curry's Chappel, an official member of the Band of Hope and while her health permitted she was an active member of the .Sunday school at the Friends' church.
Through her last sickness her sweet condoling nature still pravailed. Kissing the family good bye, she told her parents she was not afraid to die, and would meet with tei loved ones gone before, as her spirit winged its way to God. The beginning of the rewards for her life here could be seen as she passed away, for Jesus made her dying couch as soft as downy pillows are.
She leaves a number of sorrowing relatives, a dear father and mother, a sister and brother, to whom a multitude of sympathizing friends extend their condolence and sympathy in this their most sorrowful bereavement.
Though you hare lelt us Loral darling And your presence here we miss. Yet we know that you,are dwelling
In a home of perfect bliss.
Jesus knew how well we "ovedyou, But He called you from our sight, And we would not, if we could,
Call you from a home so bright.
We will wait till Jesus calls us To your happy home on high, Through the lesson you have taught UB
We will meet you bye and bye.
A FRIEND.
