A third considers himself a prieFt. calls himself "Father.' daily goes through the form of the Sacrifice of the Mass, Invokes the Saints, and prays for the dead.
And lastly, more than one good easy parson in this denomination 's, content with 'the good old ways' which are the ways of prayer and worship chosen largelv by himself, and wonders what all the pother of Indians a ml authority and pagan deities and invocation of tie Klessed Virgin, is .about Hut all agree on the one point of rejection of the authority of the I'atholic church, and all alike are heretics.

'May Catholics contribute to provide this official propagator of heretical vagaries with more elaborate facilities so that this teaching may reach as many as possible? Again the question answers itself."

Brooklyn, Feb. 16. Roman
Catholic priests are comma:
out and openly denouncing
the effort to co-operate in the
building of St. John the Di
vine in JNew York. All the
great ado about the spirit of co-operation which exists be
tween Protestants and Roman Catho
lics on all sides, is being shown to be the merest bosh. Roman Catholics
are not interested erough to help
ouiia a Protestant cathedral in this country to go down in their pocket-
books and lay down cash. Tn a few eases for the purpose of securinc
votes or for other political reasons
contributions are made, but these draw down the anathemas of the pa
pal church.
Lays Down the Law. This is plainly shown in a sermon
Mons. John L. Belford. rector of the
Church of the Nativity. Classon avenue and Madison street, preached recently. He referred to the Cathedral drive In the following words, says the Brooklyn Eagle: "Several people have inquired. 'Is it lawful for a Catholic to contribute to the Cathedral of St. John ? The answer involves the principle of cooperation. If you believe that the cathedral represents the true church, that It will proclaim the truth and conduct the rites of divine worship Instituted by Christ, by all means contribute, but you cease to be a Catholic.
But if you believe and if you are a Catholic you must believe it that the Episcopal church is an hereticl sect, that It preaches a false doctrine and conducts rites which are merely human, then you may not contribute. Is Co-operation. "A contribution is not only an act of approbation, it is an act of co
operation. "If an Episcopalian believes that our church is not the true church, that we are idolaters and that our pulpits proclaim error, he may not help to build or maintain a Catholic church.
"The same principles applies to the theater and to books. Those who
pay admission to an indecent play
are as wicked as the players and the
managemert. They pay. or help to pay the salaries, the rent and all the
expenses, not to speak of the profits
"So with books and papers. Those
who buy them encourage their pro
duction and actually pay the author and publisher for producing the .ile
stuff that has done and is doinp so
much to undermine morality and pro
mote vice and crime. Officials Are Wrong. "But, it will be said, a Catholic Governor, a Catholic Mayor, aid prominent Catholic, like ' Juwge O-Brien, have made contributions. "They are inexcusable and their contribution takes on a special degree of guilt because they are prominent and they have given bad example and scandal. Ignorance alone can excuse these men and all of them are not Ignorant." o Religious Revival at Valley Falls

city and surrounding community ls
Btill feeling the effffects of the relig

moted through the hearty co-operation of all Protestant churches in the city. The German Lutheran church located In the rural districts was also one, of the main contributors to the good work that was done, and has been commended in many districts for the help it gave. The Knights of the Ku Klux Klan were also active In the religious campaign and a conversation was overheard between two anti-Klansmen. one of who msaid the organization ought to be ousted from the state. "There is no use talklns that stuff to me." said the other ami. "they ore a religious organization and you can't put them out. There isn't a church in this town that hasn't been benefitted by them, much as I would like to see it done." PROVINCE LECTURER
CONDUCTS MEMORIAL
LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
May I give a little encouragement to the Klansmen throughout America'.' In Matt. XVI, .IS, we find these words: "And I say also thou are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my i htirch, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." That is the God Almighty's truth, the gates of Hell will not prevail against It, but the Infinite Eternal God Most High will. Hell Is paved with Romanist's truth. NORWICH.
Please give the correct way of repeating the Lord's Prayer in your next issue and oblige. Tours, H. C. S. Form as found Matthew VI-M8.

their hands, one eacn ot the seven symbols of the Klan. A blood-red
cross of. silk rinoon was tormed over
the grave, the ends being held by the Exalted Cyclops and klallff, and the
kludd and klokard respectively. As each of the symbols was named by the men who held it, the lecturer would pay a beautiful tribute to that
symbol and it was laid on the grave. In conclusion, he placed a beautiful floral wreath at the head of the grave, bearing the letters K. K. K. in gold.
