(pcfial to The Fiery Cross) PORTLAND, Ore., Nov. 10. Portland is going to have the opportunity of hearing the head of the Knights of the Ku Klnx Klan, Dr. H. W. Evans, Imperial Wizard, deliver an address in person within a short time. Announcement is made by tho Grand Dragon of Oregon that Dr. Evans will visit this city on November 19 and that he will deliver an

address to a great, gathering ofjKlansmen and selected guests on the

evening or that date, at a place to bo designated later. rr. Kvans also will speak in Medford, which city he will visit on 1'rl-. day, November 21. In Medford the .meeting will be a daylight one, as Lir. Fvans leaves there for Calif ornlalaf

7:43 p, rrt. This will be the first time that the Imperial Wizard has visited Orecron and the raclfic coast section, and elaborate preparations are lieinjj; made to accord him a welcome befitting the importance of his high office. Because of his prominence as a national ftture, as well as the fact

that he Is the head of America' greatest patriotic fraternity. It ia

recognized that thousands of persons will be eager to see and hear Mr. Kvans on the occasion of his appearance here and in Medford. No public building in either city could begin to accommodate the vast throngs which would, under ordinary conditions, hasten to attend any gathering at which the Imperial Wizard was to be present. It has, therefore, been decided by the Grand Dragon that only Klansmen and IClanswomen and especially invited guests are to bo admitted.

RETIRXS FROM TRIP KANSAS CITY, Mo. The National Director of the Junior Ku Klux Klan recently returned from a trip through some of the eastern states. He conferred with the State Directors In Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Ohio, Indiana and Illinois. He also had personal conferences with the Field Directors of Chicago, Dayton, Springfield, Newark .and Zanesville. Prob

lems encountered in the regular course of activity in the different localities were worked out. Of special interest was tlie visit of the National Director to the Newark Field Director. The Xatior.al Director

spoke before the senior organization in Newark. In the early days of the formation of "the Klans throughout the country, the National Director of the Junior Ku Klux Klan organized the Licking county Ku Klux Klan at Newark.

my friends, Is solved by the Junior Klansmen of today. The Junior organization was started Just a little over a year ago In the states of Ohio and Indiana, and since then we have become a national, organization. In this first year we have enrolled thousands upon thousands of honest-to-goodness, red-blooded American boys from the Atlantic to the Pacific: and

from the Great Lakes to the Gulf.

'These American boys insist that

there shall be but One Flag the

American Flag; One School the Free Public School; One Language the English Language. The Junior Klansmen also not only attend regularly some Protestant church, but contribute in a financial way to the upkeep of the same. "And of vital importance the Junior Klansmen believe in obedience to their fathers and mothers, and that honor Is the crowning virtue of American manhood. "The future of America depends

upon the training of its youth, and through the Junior Ku Klux Klan wo are teaching the boys the fundamental principles of citizenship, civic duties, Americanism. Th boys are. developing mentally, morally,, spiritually and physically."

ATTEND SUNDAY SCHOOL

VIXKLAND, N. J. On October 1!) the Cumberland county Junior Ku Klux Klan attended in full regalia the services at the Methodist Sunday school here. The Junior Klan orchestra provided the musjc for the services and the Junior Klan musical trio rendered several selections. A Junior Klansmah in full regalia delivered a beautiful opening prayer, in which he prayed that each Junior Klansman might keep his life as pure as the white robe of purity

which all Klansmen wear. The lesson, "The Parable of the Sower," was taught by a Woman of the Ku Klux Klan, who also addressed her audi

ence in full regalia. The superintendent of the Sunday school stated that an organization of boys like the Junior Ku Klux Klan met with his hearty approval.

TABERA'ACLE PACKED LOUISVILLE, Ky., Nov. 10. Cadle Tabernacle, was packed last Thursday night ' for Dr. Edwin H. . Lougher, speaker for the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan. who was arrested at this place in 1923 for attempting to make a Klan lecture, Dr. Lougher fought for the right of free speech and as a result of his victory, returned to complete his message.

KLAN OF TOMORROW KALAMAZOO, Mich. The State Director of the Junior Ku Klux Klan of Michigan addressed the state meeting of the .Knights of the Ku Klux

Klan, Women of the Ku Klux Klan and Junior Ku Klux Klan at Kala-

piazoo on October 25. Highlights from the address of the State Director of the Michigan Juniors follow: "I greatly appreciate the opportunity to address this magnificent gathering on the Klan of Tomorrow. .1 do not believe tlta-t I need offer any explana

tion on .just what the Klan of Tomorrow 'is, for I am sure that you all know . I refer to the Junior Ku. Klux Klan. Have you "ever given the Klan of Tomorrow any thought? "Have you wondered who 'wo'uld hold up the burning torch of Americanism when we of today must necessarily be compelled to hand It down'.' The answer.

WIN FOOTBALL GAMF. SAGINAW, Mich. The Saginaw Juniors held a public meeting at Hoyt park in this city. There was a very large attendance. A speaker explained the principles of the Junior order for Protestant American boys. A decided increase in the local membership was the direct result of the speaking. On October 11 the Saginaw Junior Klan football team trounced the Midland county Junior Klan. eleven 33-6. The game was at Mid

land. WEEK BIG SUCCESS LOS ANGKLES, Cal. Invitational week throughout California for Juniors was a great success. Many novel stunts were put on in the various Klaverns and much interest was evidenced by the Klansmen and Klanswomen who visited the meetings. More applications for membership in the Junior Ku Klux Klan were received this week than have beea. received for any previous week in tha history of the organization. The. Ontario Junior Klan band, composed of twenty-four pieces, f eatured some, of

the programs, and the crack degree team of the Colton Junior Klan gave the ritualistic work. FROM ONE TO t0 DANVILLE, 111. On July 17 ther was only one Junior Klansman in Danville.
