A great parade of Klansmen and Klanswomen in full regalia w'as held at eight o'clock in the evening, and more than 1.000 members took part in this impressive feature. GET MINISTER FOR CHURCH SHELDON, la. The Methodist church at Moneta has heretofore been supplied by a minister from Everly and it has been rather a difficult matter for them to raise enough money to pay their part towards the minister's salary. The Ku Klux Klan raised enough money to get a minister for the churcTi and it presented a. petition to the district superintendent asking for a resident minister. OPEN SPOON ER MEETS SPOONER, Wis. One of the first local meetings" of the Ku Klux Klan was held here recently, and several hundred persons heard a well-known speaker outline the principles of the organization. The speaker was warmly received and applause was frequent during: his talk.

BASEBALL SEASON' EXDS CHICAGO Klandom's only baseball league, that of the Chicago mammoth Klan, played the final game of the series here. The league, composed of eight clubs, has been a source of interest and recreation to thousands of iviansmen, KlaJiswomen and their friends. It has also created an in terest in the Klan among outsiders who labored under the impression that this organization confined its personnel to "long-faced reformers." EAT TON OF MEAT LEACHVILLE, Ark. One of the largest meetings of Klansmen ever held in Mississippi county was recently staged by L,eachviile Klan No. 60, one mile south of town in the pasture of M. L. Swlhart. Eight hundred and twenty-five . cars passed through the gate and the crowd was estimated at between 4,000 and 4,600. More than 2,500 pounds of barbecued meats, with other things in proportion, was served. IIOXOIl AGED MEMBER CITADRON, Neb. Elijah M. Gibson, a pioneer member of the Ku Klux Klan, died recently at Greeley, Colo., from injuries received in ar. automobile accident. He was laid to rest in Greenwood cemetery here, services at the -grave being in charge of Samaritan Lodge, No. 168, A. F. and A. M. and the Klan. Carr was holding a meeting at Wallace N. C, fifty Klansmen entered the church at the close of service at one of the meetings and. laid an envelope containing $50 on the altar. POLICE 1IEAI1 PARADE RICHMOND, Va. Led by mounted and motorcycle police of Richmond, members of the Women's Ku Klux Klan marched through the principal streets here. Thirty or more cars loaded to capacity with members were also in the line of march. An electric fiery cross and numerous American flags were in iine. HEAR DR. K. A. ALLEN FOREST GROVE, Ore, A fine meeting of local Klansmen was held here recently at which Dr. Keith A. Allen, sneaker for the cause of Americanism and national lecturer for the AntlNarcotic League of America, was the guest of honor and chief speaker. KRUSADERS AID KLAN CHICAGO The American Krusaders, the'organization of foreign-born Americans, which supports the program of the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, is developing rapidly in this Realm through the co-operation of the latter. Announcement that Emmanuel Jones, one of the organization's most capable lecturers, has been assigned to this territory is therefore welcomed by members of both organizations. The Krusaders. who either have been naturalized or who pledge themselves to become American citizens, are planning a program of constructive activities in Chicago, where their organization has progressed most rapidly. The mem bershlp, made up of men who are white, Protestant, Gentile andAmerIcan in everything except bfrth, is proving a most valuable- ally of the Klan.

Protestants wore warned not to enter the twomile zone surrounding the convent of the Sisters of the Sacred Wood, situated a few miles west of this city, in a threatening note found among the ashes of a dry cleaning establishment that burned to the ground recently. The establishment is operated by a Protestant. One. morning the place was found in ashes and a note, fastened to a ladder among the ruins, warned the owner against rebuilding in that vicinity. . ."NVe don't want Pioleslan t nithin two miles of the content," the note read. This warning was ignored, however, and the plant is being rebuilt on Us original foundation. The note is sua in the possession of the pro - prietor. More than .".00 citizens witnessed the celebration. IIOLU FIRST MEETING DAX1KLHOX. Conn. Recently the Klan held one of its open-air meetings just outside the borough. li was the first Klan gathering ever held in Danlelson. The meeting place was ideal, a large smooth field with a natural amphitheater at one end surrounded with forest of white pines. More than 100 cars came gliding in to the pre-chosen spot just at nightfall. Cars were from Rhode Island and Massachusetts as well as a number from Connecticut. FLAG DRILL PLEASES UOCHELLE, 111. Four to five thousand people attended the recent openair meeting of the Ku Klux Klan here. Delegations were present from Rockford, DeKalb, Sycamore. Genoa, Dixon, Franklin Grove, Esmond, Byron, Mt. Morris, I.indenwood and other places. Unusually attractive flag and Klan displays appeared in the business section of the city and extended to the grounds. THOUSANDS AT SESSION UNADILLA, Ga. Dooly county witnessed the largest Klan demonstration that has ever been staged in this part of the state. Approximately 6,000 people witnessed the outdoor ceremonial. Province officers and Klansmen from nearby communities were present for the occasion. BYRY KANSAS BANKER BONNER SPRINGS, Kas Frank Alden, former president of the Commercial State Bank, died recently and was burled by the Klan. The' funeral was largely attended. Bonner Springs Klan No. 9 passed resolutions of respect and sympathy. IIOLU OUTDOOR EYEXT 'NEW HAVEN. Conn. The Klanswomen of Connecticut and Rhode Island recently held a huge outdoor meeting and initiation. It was the first open-air affair held by this oranization in these states. MEET l.X COURTHOUSE BRISTOL, Wis. A meeting of the Klan here scheduled to take place out-of-doors was transferred to the city hall recently when it was seen that rainy weather would not permit meeting In the open. RAIN NO HINDRANCE THREE RIVERS, Mich. Thousands of Klansmen, Klanswomen and friends came from all parts of Mich igan, northern Indiana and Illinois to attend Klan Day at the St. Joseph county fair. Many more thousands would have attended had it not been for the drizzling rain which started at noon and continued throughout the afternoon and evening. As It was, all attendance records were broken. During the afternoon the regular, fair program was carried out with its usual vaudeville attractions. The St. Joseph county Klan band was present and led the large Btock pa rade, played several airs and gave a concert in the grandstand. In their new band uniforms they caused a great sensation.
