BLOOMINGTON, Ind., Aug. 23. One of the most impressive and beautiful . funeral ceremonies ever witnessed In Monroe county, was held here recently for George Sellars', U. S. marine, who was accidentally shot and killed at Paris Island, S. C. Services were first held in the

Methodist Church, after which the

body was carried under, military escort on a caisson to Rose Hill cemetery, west of the city. Before the casket was lowered, seventy-four Klansmen in full regalia, carrying a floral cross made of fiery cross cannas, filed slowly into the cemetery, forming a living cross, the foot of which rested at the grave of the departed brother. The head-bared leader of the living cross led in the singing of "Nearer, My God, to Thee," after which the procession filed silently by the grave and departed. The remainder of the ceremony was under military direction; the military salute fired, and taps sounded. Mr Sellars' home had been in Bloomington and in Bedford, and it

is understood that Klansmen from

both cities participated in the fu neral services.
