attorney, announced recently he would ask E. P. Reynolds, Immigra

tion officer in charge of the district, to aid in compiling Information necessary to file deportation charges against all aliens found guilty of violating the Harrison anti-narcotic act "Every alien in the western Missouri district convicted of violating the narcotic act will be deported," Mr. Madison said. "Deportation action will be retroactive to June, 1922, when the narcotic act was amended and the deportation clause approved." Between one hundred and one hundred and fifty aliens, the large majority Italians, have been convicted

of violating the narcotic act in the
