If Hay Fever Is Needless SufferingHealth Talk No. 17 By J. D. Goldsberry, D. C. If hay fever is needless suffering, as many of its victims have learned after trying chiropractic, then the world has been robbed of another form of disease torture, for hay fever is misery.

Most of us are immune to

hay fever, but some of us are

easily infected at the time of year when the pollen begins to fly. Chiropractic spinal adjustments restore the natural vigor of the nerve cells and tissues of the air pas

sages, and after this new Tlgor is released, the hay fever quickly is conquered.

TRIPLE RECOVERY IS REPORTED "I suffered from liver trouble, headaches and hay fever. These troubles were chronic with me for many years. I was persuaded to go to a chiropractor and I am glad, for since taking adjustments I am well of all my troubles. My health is better in every way." W. T. Terry, Chiropractic Research Bureau, Statement No. 1329H.

FRANKLIN STAGES

BIG ELAN MEETING

Long Parade Is Held Affair Held at Fair Grounds Women Initiate Big Class

FRANKLIN, Ind., Aug. 13. What Is estimated to be the largest crowd

that ever gathered in Franklin,

viewed the parade held here Satur

day night by the Ku Klux Klan as

one of the features of the Klan meeting on that day which officially

opened at four o'clock at the county

rair grounds. The procession was

almost one mile in length and formed on the race track at the fair grounds and marched to the downtown

streets of the city. Among the out

standing features of the parade,

which was led by mounted Klans-'

men in full regalia, was a float representing the Ship of State.

As early as noon autoists began

arriving at the fair grounds and by

six o clock it was estimated that ten thousand persons were in the grounds. Home-cooked food was

served at booths which dotted the grounds. During the afternoon a balloon ascension was made and vaudeville acts were staged. The balloon was a massive affair and on

each side was a fiery cross, twentytwo feet high.

Initiation Is Hold Late in the afternoon, alter all

vaudeville features were over, a national speaker for the Women of the Ku Klux Klan delivered an address

to the women who were present. During the evening the women initi

ated a large class of candidates. At eight o'clock Rev. Blair spoke before a crowd that jammed the grandstand and overflowed into the race track and took up all other available space surrounding the stand. He was interrupted repeatedly by applause.

PROTESTANT SCHOOLS At this time of the year

parents whose children have graduated from high school

are much interested in schools of higher learning. Within the past week scores of letters have been received by the editor of The Fiery Cross requesting information as to what schools they should send their children that they might enjoy a proper Protestant atmosphere in connection with their studies. - In view of this fact the editor will be glad to list any school that may wish to be known as a "Protestant school," if the school authorities will write him with facts concerning the school.

VINCENNES. Ind.. Aug. 13. Local

Klansmen are busy arranging for the big demonstration to be given in this city on Labor day, September 3, when

it Is expected that more than fifty

thousand Klansmen and their families

will journey to VIncennes. It has

been hinted that a radio message has

been received stating that the spe

cials bearing Klansmen will all arrive on time, and from these specials the Klansmen will be instantly conveyed to the Knox county fair

grounds which abounds in shade and good drinking water and where the

program for the day will be given.

Speakers of national reputation

will be present to deliver addresses

and at night there will be a wonderful display of fireworks. At this time it is not certain that the "old man" will be able to appear on account of a long list of speaking engage

ments, and many important business matters. There will be a number of special features during the day and

night.

A class of candidates, which it is expected will be one of the largest ever formed in Indiana, will be initiated.

IMPRESSIVE CEREMOSY Rome Klan, Realm of Georgia,-a few days ago staged an impressive parade, followed by a public meeting, which was addressed by Dr. Edwin DeBarr of Oklahoma on "Americanism and the Ideals of the Klan."

OPEN-AIR MEETING Sandwich Klan, Realm of Illinois, were hosts to visiting Klansmen from Hinckley, Piano, Aurora, Os

wego, Plainfield, Joliet and Ottawa

Klans some days ago. They held a spectacular open-air naturalization

eeremony.

MARION, O., Aug. 11. Ohio more than any other state in the Union

feels the loss of Warren Gamaliel

Harding, president of the United

States, and her native son.

In the funeral services held here yesterday floral tributes were received from organizations, civic, pa

triotic, fraternal and benevolent orders, paying a last bit of homage to the deceased. Among the tributes was a five-foot fiery cross, formed of scarlet lilies

and straw flowers. On the crosspiece were the initials, "K. K. K." in white flowers. The token was ac

companied by a brief note of condolence to Mrs. Harding, signed, In

visible Empire, Knights of the Ku

Klux Klan.

Thus nearly half a million mem

bers of the Ku Klux Klan in the

Buckeye state paid their last re

spects to a man, who, although not a member of their organization, by

his acts and daily life, exemplified many of the principles and ideals

which this organization is seeking to

bring about in American life.

Klansmen from all parts of the

state attended the funeral services

as private individuals.

SERVICE HELD FOR HARDING VINCENNES, Ind., Aug. 13. With

low hanging clouds and amid vivid flashes of lightning, approximately

,000 Klansmen gathered on last

Thursday night in services for the

late president. A short sermon was delivered after which the Klansmen

knelt in silent prayer. The scene,

enhanced by a burning cross, was most impressive.
